Starting early with my weekend write ups as i stuck bored in amsterdam airport with an overload of starbucks coffee..so be careful with these picks :drink:
Friday:
Schalke- Berlin: Schalke -1 @ 2.05
Schalke is off a good week, coming off a solid 3-0 home win over Bielefeld last saturday followed by another solid 2-0 away win at duisburg..now they are chasing bayern and are full of confidence.
Berlin on the other hand came down to earth midweek. they regrouped their whole team and got a new coach during off-season, which everybody expected to need time to work together.but they got to a surprisingly good start in the season. IMO a bit of a fluke as they got some lucky last minute wins and caught some good spots in their games..anyhow they made their points, but came down to earth a bit loosing 1-3 at home to then winless rostock. coach is still talking about overachieving early in the season and not expecting too much of his team at this stage. this might take some pressure from them, but the start gives us some solid line value in fading them in the next week IMO. They have some injury problems and are rotating a bit in the defense..overall 4 new players are expected in the line-up for today, which shows again the team has not settled yet.
They having big problems on defense conceiding lots of goals this season. this is not good when facing schalke at schalke, where they usually dominate game.
History is also not on Berlin s side as the have not scored in last 3 games at schalke (loosing all) and are scoreless in 13 of 17 games overall at schalke...the over would also be a play am looking at, but scared that Berlin will be kept scoreless again.
2. Bundesliga
Paderborn- Augsburg: under 2.5 @ 1.85
Not much to say here. two bottom teams struggeling big time to score and looking to solve their problems with solid defense (especially Paderborn)
Osnabrueck-St.Pauli: under 2.5 @ 1.95
Same here as in the game above. St.Pauli definetely will not try to attack in an away game and they were quite succesful with that so far this season. Osnabrueck is lacking power to break thru a massive defense.
Regionalliga Sued:
Regensburg-Karlsruhe: Regensburg -1@ 2.15
Regensburg is the league leader, but got their first loss last week. Team has realized they were mentally caught ogg-guard after the great start in the season..that s a good sign to get back on track. Karlsruhe has no chance so far in this league sitting at the bottom of the table...should be easy home win here.
BOL to all
BTW i got my first german hockey plays up for this season.
